Install and get started

From download to your first meeting.

Autopen for Windows runs on Windows 11 and needs an Autopen account and an internet connection.

  • Run the Setup file. It installs for the current Windows user and does not ask for elevation.
  • Open Autopen from the Start menu and sign in to your Autopen account.
  • Record a meeting, then read the final transcript and notes. Live captions are available only on an account that is not protected.
  • While Autopen is running, it can notice a Teams, Zoom, Webex, or Google Meet call and offer to start transcribing. Recording starts only when you choose Start.
  • To remove Autopen, uninstall it from Windows Settings.
