Autopen Support

Autopen turns meetings into transcripts and structured notes, entirely on your iPhone. For help, email joshua.w.lyons@outlook.com — include your iPhone model and iOS version if you can.

Which iPhones are supported?

Autopen runs top-tier AI models on the phone itself, which takes 6 GB of memory: any iPhone 14 or newer, or Pro models from the iPhone 12 Pro onward.

Why does first launch download models?

The one-time setup downloads about 2.5 GB of AI models (transcription, speaker identification, and note-writing) and then optimizes them for your iPhone's chip. This happens once — updates never repeat it. Keep Autopen open during setup; if you leave, it picks up where it left off.

Why should I keep the app open after recording?

Transcription and note-writing run on your iPhone's processors, which iOS pauses for backgrounded apps. Autopen saves your transcript as it goes, so nothing is lost — leaving simply pauses the work, and notes resume the next time you open the meeting.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your iPhone, encrypted. Nothing is uploaded. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

How do I import notes or a transcript from another app?

Copy the text and tap the import button in Autopen, or share a Markdown / text file straight to Autopen from Mail, Outlook, or Files. Transcripts get fresh notes written on-device; finished notes are kept exactly as written. You can also share a Markdown style guide to Autopen to shape how your notes are written.
